HYDRANGEA MACROPHYLLA
After establishing and assessing the background for a proper breeding by targets, some selections have been identified as very promising for the cut flower markets.
Currently tests are carried on in the most important cut hydrangea countries (Italy, Colombia, China, ecc.) and some unreleased codes are about to be commercially introduced.
The introduction in the hydrangea breeding of global breeding and selections methods which have over thirty years in other cops (roses, carnations) is now giving the first outcomes.
The new line is called Azzurra and ti includes already range of 4 varieties: Regina Azzurra®, Sweet Azzurra®, White Azzurra®, Dolce Azzurra® (this last one bred by Marie-France Doll).
