Sunflower is one of the most known, diffused and appreciated cut flower crops worldwide. Both as outdoor and indoor crop, Sunflower is becoming a major crop in the diversification of many flower farms. The main varieties are developed and sold by only very few, big scale seed mutinationals. However, special varieties with unique features are bred in southern Italy by an historical breeding house, established in 1870, Farao in Sarno.
The Faraone Mennella Family is renowned for the unique breeding skills and the outstanding quality of the selected varieties in many seed crops.Their Sunflower varieties represent the excellence of the market and are available only in limited quantities for very selected, top notch growers.
